Why Jūrmala's coastal soil calls for a different approach

Jūrmala stretches for 32 kilometres along the sea and the Lielupe river, and its sandy, loosely packed coastal soil behaves quite differently from clay or gravel ground - it collapses quickly at the trench edges and holds water poorly.
